Ok. Google is (finally) providing us some of the real world tools we need to help give users a World Class experience. Take a look at a screen shot of what Search Console looks like now:
See the new section for PAGES and DEVICES? Here is how you use that to help understand your site MUCH better.
Let’s start with Pages. If you put one of the more highly trafficked pages on your site there, you will see that you can go to a SPECIFIC page and see ALL of the terms that it ranks for. In the above example, (not going to share it) I was able to find 1 page that ranked on page one for over 300 different search terms!
This means that we can see what they are on a page by page basis rather than having to deal with one keyword at a time.
Next…DEVICE – You can use the “Device” tab in Search Console to search and compare rankings and click through rates on MOBILE vs DESKTOP. Want to see if your site is efficiently handling mobile users. It now is MUCH easier to do!
Finally I circled the Dates. This is NOT a new section of the site. But I wanted to point out that using it in conjunction with the other two can provide a lot of insight as to whether you are gaining ground or not. VERY HELPFUL.
Ok, so it is your turn, what are the new features that you like in Search Console >>> Search Analytics? Which ones apply to YOUR business?
